championships.

Blackdown Hills AONB
The Blackdown Hills AONB Partnership is made up of local authorities, interest groups, national agencies and local
communities. This partnership comes together to ensure that the Blackdown Hills remains a healthy, living landscape for
future generations.
Neroche
Neroche is a Landscape Partnership Scheme on the northern ridge of the Blackdown Hills. The Scheme is working to protect and celebrate
the heritage of the area, and to provide opportunities for quiet enjoyment, education and training in countryside skills.

Established in 1980 with a view to preserving traditional rural skills while the men and women who had practiced them are
still alive and able to pass them on.
The DRST also organise a popular "no-chainsaw" hedgelaying competition each year.

Wildside Experience
Wildside Experience is a small family business run by Richard and Alison Whiteside. They offer nature awareness and bushcraft training in East Devon and the Blackdown Hills
and offer a number of events aimed at communicating a love and awareness of nature through activities and experiences.
